In the winter Mindful Mountains provides ski coaching for all levels of ability in the Monterosa region of Northern Italy near the Aosta Valley on the border with Switzerland, see map. We operate from the village of Champoluc in the Ayas Valley. See the full details and programme here .
In the spring and autumn, we run Hiking and Mindfulness retreats in the Monterosa and in Sardinia. We provide a personal service and draw upon our knowledge of the area and relationships we have with local people to give you fantastic experiences in the outdoor nature mountain environment. Guiding you to being active and aware in nature. Whatever the season, we aim to create experiences which have positive benefits in physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health and wellbeing. Moving through the mountains with companionship, your time with us will often feel like a journey, more than just the physical activity.
Monterosa Ski is in the heart of the Alps sharing a border with Switzerland and is surrounded by 18 peaks over 4000 metres. The scenery is stunning. Lift access to back country skiing is second to none, there are literally acres of mountain for off piste. Closer to the village the groomed slopes and restaurants cater for early skiers and those requiring some gentle encouragement. Of course, being Italy, the mountain people are friendly and welcoming.
Visit Monterosa operate all year round and help us source many amazing remote mountain Refuges which we visit on our Ski Tours and during our Retreats. The area is well known for mountain Refuges and with stunning scenery of the snow-capped peaks, even in the summer, this area really is a perfect venue for spending time for yourself, rejuvenating and renewing your energies.
The small quaint mountain village of Champoluc with a first-class Spa Centre, many Hotels of all stars and wonderful restaurants provides us with the many comforts of traditional, local Italian mountain life.
I look forward to welcoming you to Monterosa and Sardinia.
