The Yoga will be led by highly experienced teacher, Corinne Favre. There is both structured and informal teaching in Five Elements Yoga and Mindfulness sessions outdoors each day. The teaching is down- to-earth and practical, so that those participating will acquire a set of take-home skills to apply in their daily lives.
Corinne grew up in the mountains of the Aosta Valley and learnt form an early age how to ‘be’ in the mountains and to treat the natural outdoor environment with humbleness and respect. Through her extensive training she has developed a way of Yoga which draws from and energises the Five Elements and the bodies Chakra’s. See here for more information about Corrine.
Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Ether are the five elemental building blocks of our body, energy, constitution, and the Universe. According to Vedic tradition, each of the five elements corresponds with a kosha, a level of being. The practice of Five Elements Yoga invites us to find the balance and harmony between our energies and the rhythm of nature, connecting to the five elements energy into our body, mind and spirit.
The Mindfulness and meditation are led by John Arnold, a mindfulness teacher and great fan of the outdoors and nature to help restore the body and minds balance. See here for more information about John.
When our internal elements are balanced, we are in greater harmony with the seasons and natural world. When our elements are out of balance, we feel our equilibrium disrupted, life may be a struggle, and our poise lacking. Balancing our elements allows our natural constitutions to come into harmony so that we may enjoy increased health and inner peace
Through the practice of asanas, breathing techniques, meditation, mindfulness, mantras and Yoga Nidra we will experience viscerally the qualities of rooting, fluidity, clarity, compassion and freedom.
